About Me
Based in Perth, Western Australia, I’ve always had a passion for photography. My main focus is nature, landscapes and wildlife (when the wildlife lets me), but I also enjoy branching out into other areas like cityscapes and cars when the moment feels right.
Travel has played a big role in fuelling this passion. Seeing incredible animals and places around the world inspires me to capture more than just a subject. When I take photos, I try to hold onto the feeling of the moment, so that each image reflects not only what was in front of me but also what it felt like to be there.
I think of RAW images as my canvas and the editing process as my paintbrush. Through subtle adjustments, I aim to bring out the life and atmosphere of a scene, not to take away from reality but to show it as it felt in that instant.
Over the years, I’ve built up my collection of gear, starting with a camera I “borrowed” from my dad (thanks, Dad) before eventually investing in my own equipment. I’m mostly self-taught (thanks YouTube), but I’m always open to learning more, whether through courses, experimenting with different styles, or studying new techniques.
One thing that drives me is a constant desire to improve. Maybe it comes from my slightly competitive streak, but I never want to believe I’ve mastered photography. There’s always something to refine, tweak or learn. Always something new to explore, No exceptions.
